Obituary of Lori Catherine DeLuca
Lori Catherine DeLuca, 53, of Saginaw, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, with her family by her side.
Lori was born March 5, 1962, to Joseph and Aurelia Lysher in Duluth. She was a Denfeld graduate and a life-long Duluth native. Lori married her high school sweetheart, Tim, and remained happily married for over 35 years. They had two children and there was never an event of theirs that she'd willingly miss.
She enjoyed the work that she did at the greenhouse where her efforts came naturally since she was a lover of nature. Lori also worked with kids at Pike Lake Elementary School over the years, and in doing so, received as much joy from the kids as she hoped to give.
Lori was a loving, caring and passionate person who gave all of herself to everything she did. She would do anything for her family and was the most devoted and selfless daughter, wife, mother and grandmother a person could ask for. She loved very deeply and everyone around her felt it.
Lori enjoyed, among other things, traveling and experiencing the beauty of the world, gardening, taking care of kids, fishing and most importantly, family. She touched the hearts of those around her during her lifetime and will leave a noticeable void in her passing.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Lysher, and her brother, Dale Lysher.
Lori is survived by her husband, Tim; children Lisa (Brad) Williams and Ryan DeLuca; grandchildren Mason and Kyla Williams; mother Aurelia; sister Linda (Dennis) Gould; and many friends and extended family members.
A GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 2 until the 3 p.m. service Friday, Oct. 30, in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Road.
