Marian "Aunt Sam" Sampson. Athlete, stargazer and favorite aunt of many. Age 94, proud WWII US Marine and resident of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on October 23. Dedicated PE teacher and counselor at Folwell Jr. High School from 1948-1978, world traveler, 3 time hole-in-1 golfer and enthusiastic bird watcher. A zest for life - she was easy to love. Preceded in death by siblings, Donald Sampson, Charlotte Nelson and Bill Sampson. Marian is survived by dear friends Lorraine Edberg and JoAnne Wilson, nieces and nephews John Sampson, Cheri Moir, Steve Sampson, Mary Jo Crippen, Nancy Nelson, David Nelson, Patty Nelson, Bill Nelson, Janet Loomis, Jimmy Sampson, Carol Engwall, and Sandy Hill. Join beloved family and friends for a funeral Mass at 12:00 PM Wed., October 28, St. Mary of the Lake, 105 Forestview Lane N., Plymouth with a visitation 1 hour prior to remember and celebrate her life.
