Obituary of James Collins

James Collins, 69, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018. Jim operated his business through State Services for the blind, starting at City Hall and later LSC. Jim enjoyed listening to sports, books and music. He loved to ski, tandem bicycling and connecting with friends. He was active in various groups and clubs supporting the blind. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; parents, Ed and Fern; guide dogs, Ty, Rebel and Elroy. Jim lovingly gave his wonderful dog, Maverick to a beautiful family and friend, Rick Kriske. Special thanks to all the caregivers at Viewcrest. A Gathering will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday, May 10, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth.
