Obituary of Bernice Marie Wirtanen

Bernice Marie Wirtanen, 95, of Carlton, passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, in Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. Bernice was born April 8, 1920, in Duluth, to John and Ida Zelefski. She was united in marriage to Eino Wirtanen in 1942. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eino; son John Wirtanen; and granddaughter Susanne Dickenson. Bernice is survived by her son Edward (Barb) of Proctor; daughter Jean (Gary) Wick of Golden Valley, Ariz.; sister Angeline Cieluch of Duluth; grandchildren Neil (Janine) Dickenson, John Felver, Ryan Felver and Sharon Fox; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Private family memorial will be held.
