Obituary of Beatrice June Shvegel

Beatrice June Shvegel, 89, of Duluth passed away Tuesday Nov. 2, 2015 Beatrice "Tootie" had a huge heart. She was known as "Mom" to many and a friend to everyone. She was a helping hand to anyone in need. Tootie was very involved in the community. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary club, Minnesota Federation and volunteered for the Chum Food Shelf for many years. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. She is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Mary Saelens; her husband Ed Shvegel; sister Ester Hood; brother Robert Saelens and nephews Jim and John Hood. Tootie is survived by her daughters Mary Whitmore (Gary), Luci Beyer (Bart); five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson along with many friends. A special thank you to everyone at Benedictine Health Center SERVICE: 1 p.m. Monday Nov. 9, 2015 at Calvary Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Rice Lake Town Hall (Howard Gnesen Rd. & Beyer Rd)
