Obituary of Tina M. Tavernier

Age 93 of Southview Acres Formerly of St. Paul and Oakdale Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. On November 3, her prayers were answered when she was called to eternal life with her Heavenly Father. Tina was born in San Francisco California in 1922. She met and married Raymond Tavernier in 1946 and they moved to Minnesota to raise their beautiful daughter Georgia Doren (Tavernier). Tina was employed with The Gillette Company and later with Mercury Motor Freight. Tina was an amazing grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, taking them to zoos, carnivals, fairs or whatever she could find. Her great passion was cooking. No one went unfed when Tina was around; she was known for "cooking enough to feed an army". She enjoyed crocheting and would make hats, scarves, and blankets for family and friends. She was thrilled when the opportunity came to make baby blankets for her own grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tina had a kind and giving heart, she was loved by so many and will be missed by all. Tina is preceded in death by her former husband Raymond, her parents Lorenzo & Giorgia Pardini, sister Fedora Martinelli, brother-in-law Vito Martinelli, and brother Leo Pardini. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Georgia and Joel Doren, her granddaughters Natasha (Matthew) Roux, Sabrina Doren (Jeremy Schils), and her great-grandchildren Austin, Emma, Anna and Addison Roux. At Tina's request, there will be no services. Instead, a Celebration of Tina's life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1730 Old Hudson Rd, St.Paul MN on Wednesday November 11th at 11:30. Private Interment at Elmhurst Cemetery.
