Obituary of Marjorie Marge Christensen

Marjorie Marge Christensen Age 92 of Eden Prairie. Marge passed away on November 5, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Michael, husband Albert, brothers, Earl and Dean Bengston, and sister Carol Glewwe. She is survived by her sister Patricia Kelland, brother John (Elaine) Bengston, brother-in-law Carl Glewwe, daughter Karen (Dean) Edstrom, son Dwayne (Madalene) Christensen, daughter Patricia (Patrik) Jehle, grandchildren, Lisa Christensen Benze, David (Laurie) Christensen, Eric Christensen, Amy Christensen, Kirsten Edstrom, Erica (Ethan) Delavan, Dean 'Chip' Edstrom, Ingrid (Jeffrey Behrends) Edstrom, Katlyn Jehle, Andrew Jehle, Daniel Jehle, seven great grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Marge was born in 1923 in Princeton, Minnesota to Mildred and Raymond Bengston. She married Albert Christensen in 1940. After Al died in 1965 Marge worked as an assembler at Hoffman Electric in Anoka for many years. She moved to Eden Prairie in 2000, where she was very active at the Senior Center and with the Red Hatters. Marge was an intrepid traveler, frequently visiting her far flung family in the States as well as making several trips to Europe. She was active, loving, independent and interested in everyone and everything until the time of her death. We will miss her greatly. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 15 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina, MN. Visitation begins at 1pm, Service at 2pm. 952-924-4100 In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum are preferred.
