Obituary of John E. Meyer

Meyer, John Edward (Jack) WWII Submariner age 91, passed away peacefully on Veterans Day November 11, 2015. Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Carol and son Patrick. Survived by John (Blythe), Thomas (Joann), James and daughter in law Sue; 10 grandchildren: Michael, Melissa, Jason, Andrew, Dawn, Jeremy, Daniel, Adam, Erica and Samuel; and many great-grandchildren. Raised in St. Cloud, dropped out of high school his senior year to join the Navy after the Pearl Harbor attack. He was in the printing industry most of his career. Celebration of life services at 10:00 am Saturday, November 21 at Waterston Funeral Home, 4343 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis. Light Irish fare to follow at 12:30 at Kip's Irish Pub (located in the Marriott Hotel), 9960 Wayzata Boulevard, St. Louis Park, MN.
