Obituary of Orien C. Egersett

Orien Clyde Egersett, age 86, of Chanhassen and formerly of Watertown, S.D., passed away on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at the Good Samaritan Society in Waconia, with his son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Joyce, present. Orien was born on Dec. 26, 1928, in Fertile, the son of Albert and Blythe Egersett. Orien loved being in the outdoors hunting, fishing and viewing all of the beauty nature had to offer. He was a master of taking down trees, grinding stumps and splitting wood. Orien worked for the City of Watertown for many years. One of Orien’s proudest moments was being the best man in Brent and Joyce’s wedding 27 years ago. Orien is survived by his son, Brent (Joyce) Egersett of Chanhassen; grandson, Gavin Egersett of Chanhassen; sister, Audrey (Ronald) Oines of Estelline, S.D.; former spouse, Adeline Egersett of Watertown, S.D.; and many other relatives. Per his request, he was cremated. A celebration of life ceremony may take place at a future date.
