Obituary of Jerome H Rubin

Jerome H. “Jerry” Rubin, 78, of Duluth, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital with his wife Rochelle and son Justin at his side. Jerry was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 28, 1937. After high school he graduated from Binghamton University and spent the majority of his working career as an accountant. His true passions included music, the Brooklyn Dodgers, later the Mets, weight training and antiques. While in New York he spent many hours at the YMCA and in Duluth he trained at the Arrowhead Tennis Club. In 2007 Jerry and his wife moved to Duluth to be closer to their son and grandson. Jerry was a renaissance man who appreciated the cultural and intellectual side of life. He was an especially wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Jerome is survived by his wife of 47 years Rochelle; son Justin (Erica); step-son Eric (Irene) Reinstein; grandson Max as well as extended family members and friends. The family thanks St. Luke’s Oncology Department as well as the 2 West Hospice staff for the extraordinary care they provided Jerome. No Services will be held.
