Obituary of Dorothy M. Elliott
Dorothy M. (Carlson) Elliott passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015 at Heritage Haven at the age of 94.
Dorothy was born in Munger, Minn.
She graduated from Proctor High School. During World War II she worked for the Army Air Force in the Pentagon Building in Washington D.C. for 4 years. She then worked at Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo) in Duluth for 32 years as a secretary in the Trust Department and Word Processing and was a member of the Bank's Twenty Five Year Club.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and its Naomi Circle, Library Board, Altar Guild, Leah Circle, Archives and Church Council.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents John and Ruth (Roseen) Carlson; brother George "Bud" Carlson and sister Marjorie Starasinich.
She is survived by her son Steven and daughter-in-law Marilyn (Deloach); grandsons, Jeff (Stacy) and Scott (Jenelle) Elliott; great-grandchildren Hallie Jo and Bryson Elliott; sister Lois Ivanovich all of Duluth and several nieces and nephews.
The family thanks the staff at Heritage Haven and Essentia Hospice for their care and concern for Dorothy.
VISITATION: 12 Noon until the 1 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 in Zion Lutheran Church 2431 West 3rd St. Duluth. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Zion Library are preferred. Cremation Society of Minnesota 218-624-5200
