Obituary of Leonard D. Hegg

Leonard D. Hegg, 88, of Duluth, passed away on Nov. 19, 2015 at Essentia Health surrounded by his loving family. Leonard was born April 27, 1927 in Crookston, Minn., the son of lmer and Selma Hegg. He served in the Army, worked at Elliotts meats, sailed on the ore boats, and worked at Diamond Tool until his retirement. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Evelyn and Dorothy; brothers Kermit, Curtis, and special friend Lyla. He is survived by daughters Barbara (Drew) Sexton and Catherine Hegg; grandchildren Carrie and Jason; great- grandchildren Skyler and Sarah, nieces and nephews. A special thank you to ER and hospice at Essentia Health and everyone that helped with Leonard's Care. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 in Cremation Society of Minnesota, Duluth, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, with visitation one hour before.
