Obituary of Glenn Elwin Oliver
Glenn Elwin Oliver, 76, of Duluth, MN, passed away November 21, 2015, at his home.
Glenn was born June 27, 1939 in Coloma, WI, to Gilbert and Cleo (Smith) Oliver.
He graduated Duluth Denfeld High School and spent 33 years working for the City of Duluth retiring as a Supervisor at the Lester Park Golf Course.
In 1971, Glenn married the love of his life, “his everything” Joan. They spent the next 44 years of their lives living every day to the fullest. A life filled with happiness and laughter. Many people knew Glenn and Joan as “The Crafty Couple” as they sold crafts all over Duluth after Glenn’s retirement.
Glenn enjoyed woodworking, camping, ATV rides, snowmobiling, cribbage league every Wednesday night for 53 years, having coffee every Wednesday with his buddies, and of course spending a lot of time with his family who loved him so much. He was the best Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend anyone could ever ask for.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan; Sons, Steve Oliver, Mike (Tricia) Oliver, Dan (Linda) Oliver, Ron (Tricia) Lonetto, Randy Lonetto; Daughters, Joni Cameron-Larson, Jill (Rick) Johnson, Joy Happy, Jodi (Joe) Stariha; Brother, Leo (Sue) Oliver; Sisters, Liz (Bud) Bunt, Becky (Paul) Peterson; 25 Grandchildren and 23 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Oliver and Mother Cleo (Smith) Oliver
