Obituary of Arthur James Schindele

Arthur James Schindele of Greenfield, MN died in his home on November 25th, 2015 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 71 years old. He served in the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. Art enjoyed working for the postal service, serving the Medicine Lake community for over 20 years. Art will be truly missed by his wife Debbee; daughter Melissa (Peter) Doukas; daughter Jessica Maroto Sanchez; grandson Niko Doukas; granddaughter Sophia Doukas; and his partner in crime Rocky (his loyal dog companion). Many surviving loved ones include: Brothers Andy (Sue) Schindele; Norbert (Deanna) Schindele; Al (Otto) Schindele, and many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Otto Schindele and his brothers, Joe and Jake Schindele. There will be many fishing trips, Gopher games, Caribbean trips, dog park visits, Vikings games, Euchre tournaments and cabin fun where Art will be missed. Memorial service Friday Dec. 11, 2015 at at 11am at the United Methodist Church Delano, with visitation one hour prior.
