Obituary of Christopher Beatty

Christopher Beatty (Chris), passed away age 56 years young at The Villa in St. Louis Park, MN on May 15, 2018. Born February 26th, 1962 in Cincinnati Ohio at Cincinnati General Hospital. Chris grew up in Ohio, Connecticut and Minnesota. Chris attended and graduated in 1980 from Apollo High School in Saint Cloud, MN. There, he participated in both track and football. Chis was nick-named “Black Lightning” by former colleagues and still holds records at North Junior High and Apollo High School for track. Chris attended Saint Cloud State University majoring in English. Through out his adult life, Chris enjoyed working at various employers including Wendy’s and Clean and Press dry cleaners. Over the last ten years, Chris was semi-retired living in Buffalo, MN. Chris enjoyed bargain hunting, dining at Old Country Buffet and Golden Corral, drinking beer, shopping at Half Priced Books and any pawn shop. Chris is survived by, his Mother, Shirley A. Beatty, Father James S. Beatty Sr., brother, James S. Beatty Jr. and sisters, Maya K. Beatty-Yates (Albert) and Adrienne H. Beatty. He is also survived by nieces Amber, Heather, Michayla, Jordyn, Aamaria, Alexis, Rochelle, nephews, Levi, James, Jerell, Willie, Kahlel and Chris, Aunt Augustine Fields and Uncle James, along with many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Chris is preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents, two aunts, three uncles, his sister Benita and cousin Erica. Memorial services will be held on Saturday June 9th Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Par from 11AM-12:30PM. There will be a gathering for family and friends in remembrance of Chris following the service at Pulaski Park in shelter number 8 (West end of lake). We will be providing burgers, hotdogs, baked beans and a variety of deserts (all Chris’ favorites). Isaiah 57:1-2 1 The righteous perish, and no one takes heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. 2Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. Chris will be forever loved, remembered and missed by so many.
