Obituary of Darlene Mae Spease

Spease, Darlene Mae Born on September 20, 1933 to George and Iona Braa in Jasper, MN, passed peacefully on November 30, 2015. Graduated from Luverne High School, Luverne, MN. Married Loren William Spease on April 15, 1953. She had a 20+ year career with SDSU Library. Was engaged in numerous activities and involvements including: church/bible studies, various community organizations and volunteer activities. She was a talented knitter and seamstress, and enjoyed sharing her talents with others. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Preceded in death by husband, Loren William Spease. Survived by children, Bryce of Brookings, SD, Craig (Karen) of Arroyo Grande, CA, Laura (Bruce) Cardwell of Beardsley, MN and Julie (Quinten) Hofer of Cedar Rapids, IA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Bill) McQuoid of Bloomington, MN; brother, Bill (Carol) Braa of Sioux Falls, SD. Memorial service to be held 2 PM Tuesday, December 8th at Bethel Baptist Church, 714 17th Ave S., Brookings, SD.
