Obituary of Darlene Marie Fremling

Darlene Marie (Willoughby) Fremling, 77, of Cloquet, MN, passed away in her home on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Darlene was born in Duluth, MN on October 7, 1940 to Carl and Ethel Willoughby. She married Melvin Fremling on September 20, 1958. Darlene was a registered member of the LCO reservation. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved raising her children and being with family and friends, always having coffee ready for any visitors. Camping was her favorite activity, as well as looking for a good deal at a rummage sale. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; her parents; brothers, Carl Willoughby, Jr., Clarence Willoughby, and Milo Willoughby; and her grandchild, Tracy. She is survived by her children, Cindy (Jim) Bistis, Laurie "Frem" Fremling, Carrie Ohme, Donavan (KerryEllen) Fremling, Ronald (Alexis) Fremling, Steven (Kristine) Fremling, Jody (Aaron) McIntosh, Bradley (Michelle) Fremling; siblings, Tony (Bette) Willoughby, Mary (Bruce Winship) Moldenhauer, John Willoughby, Mike (Mari) Willoughby; and 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces; nephews and long-time friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Diane Lamphier for her loving care and compassion for our mother.
