Obituary of James M. Haining

James M. Haining, of St. Louis Park, age 94, passed away peacefully on Dec. 11, 2015. WWII vet; member of the 10th Mountain Division. One of the last survivors of the Greatest Generation, he fought in Italy and lived to tell about it. Jim was a lifelong Gopher fan and loved going to football games. He loved the great outdoors, especially the mountainous country in the western US and the north woods of Minnesota. Preceded in death by wife, Reva; grandson, Fletcher. Survived by children, Michael (Peggy), Douglas (Maryann Sullivan), Nancy (John) Huninghake; grandchildren, Trevor, Preston (Amy), James, Benjamin (Cassie), Ruth, Pearl, Allison, Grace, Thomas. Memorial service to be held on Dec. 29, 2015 at 1030 AM with visitation at 930 AM at Plymouth Congregational, 1900 Nicollet Ave. MPLS.
