Obituary of Doris Marie Malmquist

Doris Marie Malmquist, 87, of Duluth passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 in St. Luke's Hospital. She was born Jan. 26, 1928 in Duluth. Doris married Stanford Malmquist on May 8, 1948. She worked at Garon Knitting Mills and numerous other occupations. Doris enjoyed time spent at the cabin on Island Lake, getting together with family on Thursday's and playing Skip-Bo. She also enjoyed going for long drives. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanford; grandson Jamie and sisters Hazel and Grace. Doris is survived by her children Stanley (Sandra), David, Norman (Doreen) and Susie (Bart) Haugen; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 10 until the 11 a.m. memorial service Monday, Dec. 21, in Duluth Gospel Tabernacle Church, 1515 W. Superior St., Duluth. Pastor Fure will be officiating.
