Obituary of Grace Diane Beekmann

Grace Diane Beekmann, 63, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015. Grace was born Feb. 14, 1952 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia to Marion and Paul Dolan. She graduated from Duluth East High School and the University of Minnesota Duluth. Grace worked in the St. Louis County Recorder's Office in Duluth for 17 years. She then worked for ISD No. 709 as a kitchen helper, retiring after 18 years. She enjoyed going for walks with her husband and dog, gardening, doing art and craft projects, having adventures and spending time at the cabin. She especially loved being with her family and playing with her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Richard and Robert. Grace is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Doug; children Emily (Adam) Huneke of Duluth and Christopher (Christina) Beekmann of Casper, Wyo.; grandson Grant and granddaughters Kate and Maura Grace; sister Mary Dolan (Steve Linne); nephew Paul of Duluth; brothers John David (Kathy) Dolan of Casper, Wyo., Walter Thomas (Linda) Dolan of Millsburo, Del., Paul Jr. (Joan) Dolan of Branson, Mo., William J. (Carolyn) Dolan of Chicago, Ill.; brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews and friends. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Monday Dec 21, 2015 in St Michaels Catholic Church. Fr. William Graham will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church.
