Obituary of Lawrence Edward Gloe

He will be deeply missed by: Wife, Kay Gloe; Children, Jerry Gloe, Andrea Wiehe (Paul), Melanie Carpentier (Scott); Step-children, Darcy Morris (Charles), Rand Madson (Mary), Joseph Madson (Alana);13 grandchildren, Devin, Grant, Josh, Sophia, Olivia, Chase, Nick, Alexis, Casey, Gage, Kaden, Ethan, Micah; Great grandchildren, Brayden, Cyrus, Wyatt, Aubrey, Laylah; Brothers, Aloys Gloe, and Alfred Gloe;many relatives and good friends. Larry went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. Throughout his struggle he remained cheerful, optimistic, and always with a ready smile. Larry graduated from Blackduck High School in 1956, served in the Army, and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the City of Coon Rapids for 30 years. Larry enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, spending time with family, and spending the winters at his home in Arizona. He liked working on vehicles, country-western music, and loved to dance, especially to polkas and waltzes. He was deeply loved by his family and a friend to all. Visitation will be held at church 1 hour before service. Memorial Service 11am Wednesday, December 30th, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church -641 89th Avenue NE, Blaine, Minnesota (763-684-3300).
