Obituary of James E. Carlson

James E. Carlson We are saddened to share the passing of James E. Carlson, age 68, beloved Grandpa, Father and Friend. James passed away in the presence of his loving family on December 19th, 2015. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on April 6th 1947. Jim made his home and raised his family in Minnetonka. Jim was loving, kind, strong and had an adventurous spirit. He took every day and made it a great one for himself and everyone around him. First and foremost what Jim loved was being with his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beverly Ann (Axtelle) Carlson; mother, Adeline Dorothy Krenik and father, Ervin Francis Carlson. He is succeeded in life by son, Christopher James Carlson (wife Crystal Carlson); daughter, Lisa Nicole (Carlson) Paulson (husband Scott Paulson); grandchildren, Madison Paulson, Maya Paulson, Lars Carlson (fiancée Maureen Doolan); sister, Patti Harty; brother, Richard Carlson; sister-in-law, Barbara (Axtelle) Fredrickson; brother-in-law, George Fredrickson; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service to be held on Monday, December 28th at 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior both at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 715 Minnetonka Mills Road, Hopkins, MN (952-935-1753).
