Obituary of Ernistena Tymeson

Ernistena Tymeson March 1, 1956 - December 21, 2015 Ernistena Tymeson, 59, of Minneapolis, MN died on Monday, December 21st, 2015, of congestive heart failure. Tena was born in Coahoma, TX. She met husband Albert in Iowa City, IA and they began their life together in State College, PA in 1980. After three years in State College they settled in Minneapolis, MN for the remainder of her life. Tena worked for Ameriprise Financial for 25 years where she also developed many long-time friends. She enjoyed her children and their friends, lunches out with her friends, fantasy and science fiction reading, reading to her children, movies, cooking, camping, gardening, long drives and any venue that offered bingo. She had a special ability to balance her time, attention, kindness and love among work, family and friends. Tena was preceded in death by her mother, Maria De Jesus Mendez; sister Margarita Garcia Ramirez; brother Victor De La Cruz; and brother Adrian Garcia. Surviving family include husband Albert Tymeson; daughter Margie Mendez and her husband Steve Deanda, their daughters Alexandria Mendez, and Victoria Gonzalez, Arlington, TX; son Nicholas Tymeson, Minneapolis; daughter Rachel Tymeson, Minneapolis; son Adam Tymeson, Minneapolis; brother Joe De La Cruz, Odessa, TX; sister Pam Hokes and her husband Herman Hokes, West Allis, WI; brother Rick De La Cruz, Big Spring, TX; granddaughter Lindsay Wein-Buckentine, Edina, MN; loving in-laws and many nieces & nephews. We will forever love you and miss you on this earth, Tena. A Memorial and Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 at Cremation Society of Minnesota/First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina, MN 55435, (952) 924-4100, beginning at noon, Father James DeBruycker officiating. Visitation with family and friends will begin at 11am. Food, drink and fellowship will follow the service. Overflow parking, if needed, is available in the lot next door to the north and on-street.
