Obituary of Bettie Claire Withers

Withers (Thomas), Bettie C. Died peacefully on December 26, 2015. Bettie was the eldest of five, born to Robert Claire and Exzena Grace Thomas. Bettie – along with her sisters, Claudette and Beverly, and brothers, James and Michael-was lovingly raised by her grandparents in Pelham, TX. In 1965, she relocated to Minneapolis, MN to pursue her career in the medical field where she became affectionately known as “Ms. Bettie”. In 1970, she married Edward Withers, Jr. and continued to serve as an X-ray Technician, Patient Advocate and Community Representative for 45 years. Bettie devoted her life to her family. Joining her grandparents, parents, sister (Claudette), aunts and uncles, Bettie is survived by her two daughters, Courtnie and Lindsay. Friends are invited to gather with the family Monday, January 4th, 2:00 pm at the Cremation Society of MN with gathering at 1:00 pm. Ms. Bettie leaves behind a host of family and friends who will forever cherish her memory. The family appreciates all prayers and support.
