Obituary of Anthony Scott Bujold
Anthony "Tony" Scott Bujold, 60, of Duluth, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2015 at his home.
Tony was born in Duluth on Jan. 28, 1955 to Jim and Jan Bujold.
He grew up on Park Point and graduated from Central High School (1973) where he was on the hockey team. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and served from 1974-78. He was on the Mackinaw ice breaker in Michigan and then served in Duluth on a Buoy tender. After his honorable discharge from the Coast Guard he went to Vo-Tech in Duluth and got a degree in Home Construction. Tony worked in the family business for a few years before working as a truck driver for Fleming and most recently Northland Foods.
Tony loved the outdoors along with working with his hands. He enjoyed boating and fishing along with camping, especially at Captain's Cove on Park Point. Tony also enjoyed hunting, cutting grass, feeding the deer, the family dogs, spending time in the motor home and had recently taken up forging. He also enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Vikings, Twins and Minnesota Wild fan. Most of all, Tony especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family and being a grandpa. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, hardworking nature and generosity. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother Jan and stepson Beau Melin.
Anthony is survived by his wife Mary Beth; children, Gillian (John) Haas and Aaron (Bre Parsons); step-son Justin Melin; grandchildren, Ruby and January; father James (Lee); siblings, Lance, Kristen and Ted (Kim) Bujold, Mike (Dawn) Park; special dog Leuka as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
The family would like to thank the St. Louis County Sheriff's Department, Normanna and Lakewood Volunteer Fire Departments as well as the Gold Cross team.
GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016 in Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth. Military Honors by the Duluth Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
