Obituary of Jacob Andrew Bergman

Jacob Andrew Bergman, 19, went home to be with our Lord on Dec. 27, 2015 as a result of an accident in his home. Jacob passed away in St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Jacob was born in Duluth to Andrew and Michelle Bergman on Aug. 15, 1996. He graduated from East High School in 2015 and began employment with Economy Garages, saving for a truck and future schooling. Jacob and his brothers were inseparable and he was immensely proud of his sister. Throughout his life Jacob had a love of hunting at the shack, fishing, and camping and held an unwavering faith in Jesus. Those who loved him and shared Jacob's life are his parents; two brothers, Aaryn and Zachary and sister Maija; paternal grandparents Peter and Barbara Bergman, uncles Ken Bergman, Dan (LeAnn) Bergman and Chris (Toni Roberts) Bergman; maternal grandparents Judith and James Laspi; aunts Karen (Wayne) Watson and Marja (Keith) Collinson and numerous cousins and extended family. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 in Lakeview Covenant Church, 1001 Jean Duluth Road, Duluth, with Pastor Brett Schmidt officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service. A time of food and fellowship will take place after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family for future use in making a permanent memorial to honor Jacob's life.
