Obituary of Errol A. Olson

Errol A. Olson, 54, of Duluth, passed away Thursday Dec 31, 2015 at Essentia Health Care, St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his family. Errol was born in Duluth Aug. 27 1961. He was a member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Tribe. He graduated from Sakatay Indian High School in Duluth. He furthered his education at Lake Superior College. Errol was known for his pool skill's Errol and his teammates were the Twin ports Pool Champion for the Rustic for many years. Errol started working for St. Mary's Hospital in 1987 until his passing. Errol was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt in the fall with his sidekick Guy "Grunt" Pesola . He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Sandra. Those who loved and shared his life are his wife Sharon; daughter Juanita (Josh); granddaughter Alayna; brother Ole Olson and family Brandon, Anna, the late Joshua Olson Abrum and Keauna Olson, and his extended family Fawn, Heidi, Katherine, Billie Jo, and Solomen. The family of Errol would like to thank with all their hearts, to the staff of nine west for their outstanding care and compassion for Errol at Essentia Health Care, St. Mary's SERVICE: 10 a.m. Saturday Jan. 9, 2016 in First Memorial Chapel 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth. A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service in First Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery following the service.
