Obituary of Holly Kay Ellestad

Holly Kay Ellestad, 42, of Proctor, passed away May 20, 2018 as a result of sudden cardiac arrest. She was born July 24, 1975 in Duluth, the daughter of John and Lori Ellestad. She attended Proctor schools and graduated from Proctor High School in 1993. Holly was a dedicated long-time employee of Monaco Air at the Duluth International Airport. Her enthusiasm for her work and her special bond with her customers was something that she treasured. She loved her work family and was fueled by the passion that surrounds the flying community. The only thing that surpassed her love of aviation was her dedication to be the greatest aunt in the world. Holly lived through her four nephews and would do anything to bring a smile to their faces. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Holly was truly blessed. Her dimples, her laugh, her smile, her long blonde hair and baby blue eyes will never be forgotten. A best friend to so many, when Holly made you her friend, it was a forever bond. She gave her entire heart to her nephews and was their number one advocate no matter what. Such a ray of sunshine, she could brighten even your darkest day. Holly loved going on adventures with her nephews, and her love of taking pictures made everyone feel like they were on the adventure alongside her. She loved doing anything outside whether it was taking walks, going fishing, or exploring new areas. She belonged to the Proctor Moose. Holly is survived by her parents John and Lori of Proctor; her brother Curt (Candy), Proctor; her sister and best friend Wendy Blankenship (Mathew), Moorhead; and her sister Mikkaela Scott (Nathan); Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She is also survived by her nephews, her heart and soul, Nicholas, Zackary, Jacob, and Wyatt. Visitation: 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Celebration of Life, Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth.
