Obituary of Mary Lois Schoen Roseth Benjamin

Mary Lois Schoen Roseth Benjamin, 83, of Duluth, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018. She was born February 24, 1935 to Harold Paul and Lois Estelle (Howey) Schoen in Duluth, MN. Mary graduated from Cathedral High School in Duluth in 1953. She was employed at Maurices and Glass Block bakery. Mary was active with Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Little League, Girls softball, and the Duluth Heights Community Club. Mary had a passion for theater and writing. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Monica Jean Cackowski, grandson Christopher Cackowski; husbands Jerry Benjamin and Howard Roseth, and brother Patrick Shoen. Mary is survived by her children Robert, Paul (Catherine), Marcia (Randy) Jenkins, Richard, all of Duluth; grandchildren Joshua (Julie) Cackowski, Andrew (Melanie) Roseth, Amy Roseth, Danielle (John) Grimes, Samantha Roseth, Nicole Roseth, Justin Jenkins, Nathan Jenkins, Kaitlyn Jenkins, Hayley (Tyler) Lindbeck; a number of great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Viewcrest Health Center staff and to Essentia Hospice for their compassionate care for Mary.
