Obituary of Clete Dozark
Clete Dozark, Edina, went Home to his Heavenly Father Jan 13. He died at age 89 of heart and renal failure, among friends in his own house, peaceful, and expressing gratitude for an abundant life. His lifelong companion Jean, of 63 years marriage, preceded him in 2012. WW2 military service was in the Aleutian Islands. He was carried by optimism, hard work, confidence, and charisma through 2 careers: 30 years with NW Bell Telephone, from outdoor lineman to state level management, and, thereafter, another 30 years as an entrepreneur with his beloved self-created button-pin business, at which he worked till age 88. His years of service in Boy Scouting touched many lives and earned him the Silver Beaver, as well as reflected his core integrity and honor. He loved learning, travel, reading, and marching to the beat of his own drum. He will be greatly missed by brothers Larry and Frank (Cathy), his son Scott (Vivi), daughter Margaret (Liz), his dearest friends Gary and Beth, Winnie, Michael, and Gabriel, as well as extended family and friends. Services at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, 519 Oak Grove St., Mpls on Tues., Jan 26 at 1 pm. Interment at Fort Snelling Nat'l Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please offer gifts of gratitude to Little Brothers of the Elderly, Youth Camp Program of Salvation Army, or Hospitality House Youth Development. cremationsocietyofmn.com,Edina.
