Obituary of Kenneth Hanson

Kenneth Hanson, 90 Loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend died peacefully surrounded by his family on January 13, 2016 at N.C Little Hospice in Edina. Kenny was a retired Minneapolis Firefighter and WWII Navy Veteran. Kenny spent 70 years married to the love of his life, and sweetheart, Mary Lou. Mary Lou passed away 7 months ago and his heart could not go on without her. He is survived by a son, Gary (Susan) Hanson; daughters, Cindy (Jim) Samuelson and Cheryl (Kent) Larson; daughter in-law, Laura Hanson; Grandchildren, Jeremie, Molly, and Lily Hanson; Kelsea Vandergriff; Nick (Lindsay) Larson; Patrick (Angela) Samuelson; Amy (Aaron) Diederich; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou and son, Gregory Hanson A small gathering to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, January 31st, 2016 at Fountain Lake Condominiums, 4575 80th Street Circle W, Bloomington, MN 55020 from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. Memorials preferred to the Ronald McDonald House to ensure that families with broken hearts find a way to be together.
