Obituary of Susan Faye White

Susan Faye White, age 66, went to Butterfly Heaven from St Luke's Hospital, Duluth, MN, on May 23, 2018 after a serious and challenging illness. Susan was born on February 3, 1952 in Duluth, MN. Susan (also known as 'Scrabble Susan') attended Morgan Park School K-12, graduating in 1970. She worked with Kmart Corporation for many years as a District Manager and was well practiced at sizing clothing with one glance. She worked at Learning Tree Child Care while attending Augsburg College to pursue her lifelong interest in caring for children as a professional nanny. She was a mother to many children; the trunk of her car was a party on wheels. Susan was a deeply spiritual woman of God and sang in the spirit as a lifelong member of Duluth Gospel Tabernacle, where she was involved in Joy Fellowship activities and the Children's awards program, Point Store. Susan is predeceased by her father, Melvin C. Molitor. The Molitor family name appears on the Tabernacle's original incorporation record from a century ago. Susan will be greatly missed by her husband of 23 years, Lars White. She is survived by her mother Alice (Bruce) Blancher and her brothers Fred (Judy) Molitor and David (Jill) Molitor (Duluth). Susan is survived by nephews and nieces Justin Kervina; Angela (Timothy) Carlsness; Melissa (William) Sorensen; Indiana Molitor and Rocco Molitor. Also surviving are her mother-in-law Joan White; sister-in-law Sally (David) MacLean; nieces/nephew Netanya, Sarah, Jonathan & Ariel (New Zealand) and brothers-in-law Eric (Patti) White and Russell White (Florida). Susan will be missed by many as she follows a final, mysterious fantasy in her lifelong quest for affirming love, caring and belonging.
