Charlene Dembroski Lind

Obituary of Charlene Ann Dembroski Lind

Charlene Ann Dembroski Lind, 51, left her earthly home and entered into the spirit world on Wednesday, May 23. She was born to Charles Jr. and Kathleen Dembroski, on April 27, 1967. Her grandparents were John and Gena Cleary and Charles and Theresa Dembroski. Charlene graduated from Superior Senior High School and WITC School of Cosmetology. She was immediately employed by LaPeinado Salon and had been there ever since, making her customers look fabulous with her wonderful cuts and styles. She was a real wizard of creativity. She dearly loved her employer and mentor, Lila Hickok, and she was a grateful and appreciative part of the LaPeinado family. Char was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was totally dedicated to its precepts. She was sometimes helped by other members and was only too happy to pay the favors forward. Her grandparents predeceased her and she deeply grieved the loss of her three brothers, John, Wayne and Chuck, who passed away far too early. She also sadly missed her Aunt Mary Cleary Untalan and her Aunt Phyllis (Po), as well as her father-in-law Morrie Lind. Charlene will be missed incredibly by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Paul Lind, her daughter Holly Lind, and her mother Kathleen Dembroski (Richard Ullan). She leaves also, the Lind family: her mother-in-law Helen Lind, and her brothers-in-law David (Gail) Lind; Chris (Christie) Lind; and Mark (Martha) Lind; and her sister-in-law Sue (Jim) Reijo. They and all of her many nieces and nephews, and certainly, all of her friends, will miss her so much. Please find Char in the beauty of nature. She will be in the gentle breezes that cool us in the summer sun. She will be in the prettiest flower in the garden of roses on London Road. Look for her as you reach out to touch the snowflakes that fall softly. Tell her how much you love and miss her. Come celebrate a beautiful life from 5-7 PM on Thursday, May 31st at The Cremation Society of Minnesota (4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, MN). Wear the bright colors she loved. There will be a visitation at the Cremation Society from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Friday, June 1st. Following the 10:AM service, we will gather for lunch and conversation at Mr. D's banquet room (5622 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN).
