Obituary of John Kelvin Swanson

John Kelvin Swanson, 63, of Canyon, passed away Jan. 19, 2016. John was born on April 18th, 1952 in Duluth to Einar and Lillian Swanson. He graduated from Hermantown High School, then studied to become a Millwright. He was employed by Eveleth Mines/EvTac. John enjoyed ice fishing, deer hunting, and camping with friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister DaleAnn. John is survived by his sons Jeremy (Sheena) and Matt (Lori) Swanson; grandchildren Nate, Michael, and Elise Swanson; brothers Denny, Charlie, and Myles; sisters Susan, Patsy, Carla, Karen, and Janey; and many nieces and nephews. GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth.
