Obituary of James C. O’Brian

James C. O’Brian, age 92, of Shakopee, formerly of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2016. James was a proud Veteran of WWII and a retired Hennepin County social worker. Preceded in death by parents, Donovan and Wilmah; brother, Charles and granddaughter, Abigail. Survived by his loving family: wife, Frances; children: Beth (David), Kathy, Mary (Jeff) and Charlie (Jenny) and grandchildren, Nick, Megan, Bridget, Jesse and Katie. Memorial service will be held at 1PM on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave., Edina. Visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Park Nicollet Hospice. Private interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
