Obituary of Mark Dietz

Our beloved Mark, age 65 and resident of Golden Valley, passed away on May 24, 2018, surrounded by his family. He passed peacefully and gracefully. Preceded in death by parents John and Dorothy Dietz. Survived by husband Tom Segal and children Joshua (Tiffany) Segal and Jeremy (Rachel) Segal and grand- son Noah Segal. Also survived by brother and sister-in-law John and Wendy Dietz, niece Calisa Tucker (Gary), great niece and nephew Abigail and Jack O'Keefe, stepmom Pat Dietz as well as extended family and many friends. Mark worked in healthcare consulting his entire career; achieving Principal with Deloitte & Touche then as an independent consultant. Mark served on the board of AHIMA and received their Triumph Award for leadership. He also served on the board of Open Arms of MN. Mark had a loving generous soul and cared deeply about others. He was adventurous, high energy and did everything with passion. Mark's spirit was strong and to share time with him was truly a special honor. A memorial and celebration of Mark's life will be held at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis on Saturday, June 9th beginning at noon in the Memorial Chapel. A luncheon will follow in the Garden Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Open Arms of MN in memory of Mark.
