Obituary of Doris Rutzen

Preceded in death by husband, Ervin, Brother, Arnold(Karen) Westlake, two sisters Maxine Voight and Freda(Doug) Hanlon, and special friend Bob Beckwell. Throughout her life, Doris enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilting at her church. As many may know, she was an avid MN Twins fan and new more about the players than we did. But mostly, Doris cherished time with family and friends and was quick to the table when anyone said, "how about a game of cards?" She will be remembered for her kindness of word, her strong quiet faith, and her generous heart. She will be deeply missed. May she rest peacefully in God's Radiant Light. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Heritage of Edina Assisted Living, who lovingly cared for our mother these past few months. You are all God's angels. Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Feb. 5 at 3 PM, visitation one hour prior to service, lunch following the service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 13207 Lake Street Extension, Minnetonka, MN 55305. Internment in the spring. Flowers received at the church Mon - Thurs, 8-noon, Fri, noon to 2pm. Memorials will be donated to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minnetonka.
