Obituary of Vivian Hanson

Vivian (Cheney) Hanson, 98, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 at Chris Jensen Nursing Home. Vivian was born Nov. 6, 1917, to Frank and Bessie Cheney, nee Winch, in Pembina, N.D. Vivian and family moved to Duluth when she was five years old. Vivian married Ralph Hanson in 1938 and they had two sons, Richard and Gordon. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Oliver, and husband, Ralph. She is survived by her sons, Richard (Sylvia) and Gordon (Barbara); four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Interment will be private. A celebration of life service will be held at a future date. Memorials to donor's charity of choice.
