BETTY MAE LILYQUIST
Betty Mae Lilyquist, 88, long-time Duluth resident, passed away on Aug. 2, 2016 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's.
Betty was born on July 12, 1928 to Oscar and Ruth Anderson at their home.
Betty was married on Aug. 20, 1949 in First Methodist Church in Duluth to Donald William Lilyquist.
Betty worked several jobs during her life that included, Minnesota Woolen, Marshall Wells, Library System in Rochester, Minn., UMD, and the West Duluth Clinic.
Betty was an avid seamstress. She began sewing at the age of 10 with her mother.
She made clothes for herself, her children, and grandchildren. She even sewed quilts for her entire family!
Betty enjoyed many lovely vacations with family and friends over the years. She loved traveling, camping, and family times at their cabin on Sand Lake.
Over the years she has greatly enjoyed being active with her children and grandchildren with many school activities, scouting and more.
Betty is survived by husband, Donald; children, Keith Lilyquist (Joyce), Loren Lilyquist (Laura), and Carol Snoeyenbos (Bill); grandchildren, Carla Lilyquist, Matthew Lilyquist, Andrea Stuber (Scott), Adam Lilyquist (Kayla), Sara Lilyquist, Jaron Snoeyenbos, and Garrett Snoeyenbos; great-grandchildren, Hallie Snoeyenbos and Carter Lilyquist; and many nieces and nephews.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Sunday Aug. 7, 2016 in Asbury United Methodist Church, 6822 Grand Ave, Duluth. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
