Obituary of Bill R. Schmidt

Bill R. Schmidt, 59, died peacefully at Solvay Hospice surrounded by his wife and family on May 26, 2018. He was born in St. Paul and raised in White Bear Lake. Bill moved to Duluth to work with his father for a short time. He then went into the construction business owning his own company as a contractor for almost 20 years in Duluth. Then he moved onto Wind Energy, designing and building small wind turbines, he very much loved this work, but had to retire early. Bill is survived by his wife Kathy, mother Phylis Pedrow, brother, Roger Schmidt, and two children from a previous marriage. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 31st at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m., at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN.
