Obituary of Jacquelyn Ann Voltzke

Jacquelyn "Jackie" Ann Voltzke, 72, of Oliver, Wis. passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at Solvay Hospice House with her family by her side. Jackie was born in Duluth, Minn. on Dec. 19, 1943 to Ruben and Emily (Gulbranson) Wall. She grew up in the Fond du Lac neighborhood of Duluth and graduated from Morgan Park High School in 1961. In 1974 Jackie married the love of her life, James Voltzke. They spent 33 happy years together. Jackie was a longtime employee of the Timberline Express/Lakeside Transfer and retired from there in 2003. Later on, she was involved in the Foster Grandparent Program and also worked at Great Lakes Elementary in Superior, Wis. Jackie enjoyed taking pictures and gardening, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, friends and her dog Sophie. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband James Sr.; her parents; sister Bobbie Engberg; and brother Larry Geleneau. Jackie is survived by her daughters Lisa (Scott) Waters and Tammy (Jeff) Rolson; son James Jr. (Nicole); grandchildren Ashley, Rhiannon, Jacob, Leah, Ethan, Miyah and Thea; great-grandchild Sienna; sister Marie (Rich James) Bonneville; brother-in-law Richard (Jean) Voltzke; sisters-in-law Sue Salgy and Charlene Geleneau; and many extended family members and friends. The family extends a special thank-you to the staff of St. Luke's ICU and Solvay Hospice House for the care they provided Jackie. A private family service will be held at a later date.
