Obituary of June M. Erickson

June M. Erickson, age 93, of Duluth passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born April 21, 1925, the oldest of five children, to Gilbert and Alma Danielson. June was a lifelong Duluth resident, currently residing at Edgewood Vista Indp. Living in Hermantown. She graduated from Denfeld H.S. in 1943 and married Ernest Erickson in July, 1943. June was employed at the West End J.C. Penny for 21 years, volunteered at the Miller Dwan gift shop for over 20 years, was a member of the Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary #137 and volunteered for many of their Friday night suppers. June was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie; her parents; a brother Kenneth and sister, Dorothy. She is survived by her son, Larry (Shirley) of Hermantown; granddaughter, Sheri (Bruce) Sexson of Eden Prairie and grandson, Eric of Hermantown; her sister, Lorraine (Lloyd ) Smith and brother, Roger (Corinne) Danielson. Memorials are preferred to the VFW #137 Bldg. Fund. Gathering of family and friends from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service Saturday, June 9th in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave, 218-624-5200.
