Obituary of Pauline R. LaPlante

Pauline R. LaPlante, 81, of Duluth, Minn. passed away Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Duluth Sept. 11, 1934 to Leroy and Margaret Andrews. She married Jerome LaPlante July 26, 1952 in Duluth. Pauline and Jerome owned and operated several businesses, the last being Beaver Bay Inn. She enjoyed all the people she met through her everyday working experiences. Pauline retired in 2015 from Home Instead, after five years of faithful service. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jerome; son Dennis; her parents; and brother Patrick Andrews. Those who loved and shared her life are her two children Mary Mellin and Jean (Marc) Johnson; daughter-in-law Patty LaPlante; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her dog Joey. A private family service will be held at a later date.
