Graduate of Mahtomedi High School , Rasmussen Business College and attended the U of M. Preceded in death by parents Christ and Lucille; brother Donald. Survived by wife Marilyn; children Rosalind Nelson, Minneapolis, Roseanne (David) Nelson-Whitsel, CO, Christina Nelson, CA, Kathleen Nelson, St. Paul, Cassandra Nelson, Minneapolis, Ward Patrick (Alice) Nelson, WBL; 3 grandchildren Michael, Caitlin, Alexi.
