Obituary of Linda Lou Nikkola

Linda Lou Nikkola, 61, lifelong resident of Duluth passed away unexpectedly at home, Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016. She was born Nov. 2, 1954 in Duluth to Francis "Frank" and Hazel Organ. Linda was a 1973 graduate of East High School and attended DBU. On Aug. 8, 1981 she married Thomas John Nikkola. Linda was a member of Elim Lutheran Church and was employed for several years at Northern Photo Service, before her daughters were born. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Elizabeth Lynn and her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Tom; daughter, Jenny Elana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don (Karen) Nikkola, Deb (Dan) Minkkinen, Annette (Rick) Panfil and Gary Tracy; a host of extended family members and friends. GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service Sunday, Feb. 28, in Elim Lutheran Church, 6101 Cody St. Inurnment will be at Oneota Cemetery at a later date.
