Obituary of Deborah Kathryn Becker

Deborah K. Becker Deborah (Deb) Kathryn Becker, 66 died peacefully on May 29, 2018. She was born June3, 1951 in Caledonia MN to Cyril and Matilda Becker. She graduated from Caledonia High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in teaching from St. Cloud State University, graduating Magna Cuma Laude. She lived most of her adult life in Minneapolis MN. She chose to apply her talents in the department of special education with Autism as her specialty. Deb has been an active volunteer during her retirement years. She was a Loring Park board member as well as member of Citizens for Loring Park. She devoted her time to the Minneapolis Retired Teachers, and enjoyed volunteering with Little Brothers and Friends for the Elderly. The Celebration of Life Service will be at 11am. Saturday, June 9 at The Art Room at Hennipen Avenue United Methodist Church, 511 Groveland Ave, Minneapolis 55403. She is survived by her siblings, Gary Becker of Chippewa Falls WI, Mark Becker of Caledonia MN, Shirley (Patrick)Earley of Fridley MN, Scott Becker of Las Vegas NV, Tony Becker of Caledonia MN, Ann (Chris) Yule of Lakeville MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril and Matilda Becker, and brother Craig Becker. Memorials are preferred to Loring Park or Minneapolis Teachers Retirement Fund.
