Obituary of Jacob Pavlisich

Jacob Pavlisich, 81, of Clover Valley in rural Duluth passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016 with family present. Jacob was born to Jack and Mable Pavlisich on July 7, 1934 in Ely, Minn. He graduated as Valedictorian from Clover Valley High School in 1952. He married Helen Sobczak in 1955. Throughout his life Jacob worked for Kimberly Clark, Duluth Scrap Yard, and Northern State Distributing retiring in 1997. Jacob will be remembered as a hard-working and loving father and grandfather who enjoyed baking pies, woodworking, gardening, going to town every Friday, and spending time with his family. Jacob is preceded in death by his brother Ernest Pavlisich and his sister Mable Laiti. He is survived by his wife Helen; his sisters Doris Barry and Sharon (Jerry) Johnson; brother Donald Pavlisich; son Mark (Kara) Pavlisich; daughters Nancy LaTour Pavlisich, and Susan (Dwight) Kimball as well as his three grandchildren; Kalina and Charles Pavlisich, and Miranda LaTour. Private family service will be held at a later date.
