Obituary of Kenneth W Anderson

Kenneth W Anderson, 90, of Tamarack, Minn., formerly of Superior, Wis., slipped quietly into eternity to be with the Lord, on March 5, 2016 at the Golden Horizons memory care unit in Aitkin, Minn. Ken was born in Kelly Lake on Feb. 17, 1926, one of seven children born to Albert and Selma Anderson. As a young man , he served with the U.S. Marine Corps and was deployed in the Pacific during World War II on the ship USS Louisville, participating in many of the major historical battles. He was later called up again during the Korean conflict. He retired from the Soo Line Railroad in 1986. Ken also served many years as the local Chairman for the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainman. Ken is survived by his wife of 34 years, Peggy; sons Kenn (Connie), Tom (Lynn), and Don (Suzanne); grandchildren, Matt, Jonah, Noah, Melissa, Matthew and Lauren; step grand-daughter, Teesha and 11 other step grandchildren shared the privilege of calling Ken "Grampa". MEMORIAL SERVICE: 4 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 in the Duluth Bible Church, 201 W St. Andrew St., Duluth, MN 55803. Pastor Dennis Rokser will be officiating.
