Obituary of Elliott Samuel Phillips

Elliott Samuel Phillips Jr. was born July 25th, 1951 in Osaka, Japan. He died March 9, 2016. He is preceded in death by: his father Elliott Phillips Sr., mother Kathleen (Ruschel) Phillips (Florida), and sister Sanda Addison (Florida). He is survived by: Ex-wife Patricia (Neu) Phillips (Hopkins), sister Vera Phillips (Minneapolis), Nathan & daughter Angela (Phillips) Schindele (St. Cloud), 5 grandchildren, and trusted Assistance Dog Daniel James. Elliott enjoyed his family, and friends near and far. He was into softball, golf, hunting and fishing, and was able to travel for these activities through the years. Elliott served in the Army and was in the 101st Airborne in Vietnam. As a civilian, he worked for HCMC and Narco Medical Services before suffering a brain injury in 2004. He was an active member of VVA Chapter #62, the VFW and the DAV and was instrumental in saving the Adult Day Care Program at the VA Medical Center. Elliott was diagnosed with cancer and lived his last days enjoying his family and friends. Thanks to all who were a part of his life. We celebrate then, now, and in the future. We will never forget!
