Obituary of Winnafred A. Marx

Winnafred A. (Gallagher) Marx, 89, of Proctor passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, with family by her side. Winnafred was born April 25, 1929 to William Blaise Gallagher and Helen Martha Seipp in Crosby, ND. Winnafred attended school in Crosby, ND. After high school she attended the Sisters of St. Francis School of Nursing in Minot, ND where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. She married Albert J. Marx on July 15, 1951. Winnafred was a member of the Proctor American Legion and Proctor Moose. She golfed at the Proctor Golf Course, was active with the Junior Golf League and was a member of the board of directors for 17 years. Winnafred worked for St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth for 23 years. Winnafred was preceded in death by her husband Albert Marx; parents; brothers, Anthony, Daniel, Joseph, Emmanuel, Cletus, Charles and Bernard; and daughter, Barbara Marx. Winnafred is survived by her daughters: Linda Sundby of Schofield, WI; Beverly Patronas of Duluth, MN; Patricia Marx (Tracy French) of Maple Grove, MN; Cathleen (Erick) Keppeler of Saginaw, MN; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Memorial Service, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth.
